Is this workshop right for you?

  • Feeling alone even when you're physically together

  • Recurring conflicts that never seem to resolve

About Dr Sharyn PhD

As a cognitive psychologist, I've dedicated my career to helping people understand their brains, manage their thoughts and feelings, and build healthier relationships. My approach is grounded in attachment theory and neuroscience, focusing on how emotional safety and connection form the foundation of fulfilling relationships. I believe lasting transformation begins with understanding how your brain works.

This brain-first methodology forms the cornerstone of all my work:

  • Foundation Before Technique: Rather than jumping straight to communication strategies or conflict resolution techniques, we’ll first figure out what your brains are doing - the essential foundation for all meaningful change

  • Personalized Understanding: Through careful assessment, I’ll help you understand your unique brain behavior – triggers and reactions (not just generic relationship advice)

  • Partnership Model: Together, we’ll work to transform your relationship with your brain – so that you can understand and change what is happening.

  • Science-Based Methodology: All interventions are grounded in neurological reality, making them more targeted and effective than conventional approaches

This framework addresses the fundamental gap in most relationship work—they ask couples to change without first helping them understand brain behaviour in relationships. Your brain is responsible for creating all the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that impact relationship connections.

What to Expect

This workshop offers a thoughtful, research-based approach to understanding relationship dynamics through the lens of neuroscience. Rather than focusing solely on communication techniques or problem-solving specific issues, we'll explore how your brain processes relationship experiences and learn how to rewire patterns that create disconnection.

The core transformative belief we'll work with is simple yet profound: "I can learn to understand my brain and use this understanding to change my relationship." This perspective becomes the catalyst that makes all other relationship work possible and sustainable.
